Elwell Hatchet ..

I was up early this morning and off to the car boot sale..
I spied this little hatchet, and paid a couple of quid for it.
After breakfast I went out to the workshop .
And filed, rubbed, scrubbed, oiled and honed this little gem back to life..
So now I have a nice Elwell, Kentish pattern hatchet, handy for hacking out spoons...
I know I know, how many hatchets does one guy need!!!...;b

    Nice find, over here things like that tend to be scarfed up by the antikie-decorator crowd and then they charge ridiculous money for them.

    I've got a great little elwell hatchet that I use for work but it's a different pattern to that one.

    I have several hatchets and axes, myself. I think it must be an addiction.
