Helping Hand

Yesterday I got up early and headed south, down the east coast and into the Scottish Borders to help a friend. He has bought a static caravan, to use as a little weekend retreat, but He needed a fence around it to keep his dogs from wandering off .So after a bit of a drive on nice quiet roads I  stopped for a while when I was near to my destination I was rewarded with this view.
And after taking in the sunshine and the sea air. A busy day was ahead knocking in posts and nailing on ranch boards and a couple of gates to build. After a long chuckle filled day we had made his little patch safe for his dogs . Here's a hard days work, and my good friend Ian in front of his little patch :)

  1. Some folks over here use wooden pallets for a cheap, quick fence. They're ugly, but they work.

  2. If you want to come further south I could always do with a hand fencing! I've got loads to do!

  4. Funny you call them Static caravans. Over here we call them mobile homes. And the place they are kept is called a trailer park. Folks live in them permanently. But the sort you tow behind your car and go on holiday with are called RVs, short for recreational vehicles. Go figure. Here in Maine, only god knows why all the Quebecois invade and spend the summer packed like sardines nose to elbow in those tin cans, overcrowded in campgrounds right next to thousands of other frenchies.
