Something Fun , Something Fancy
I messed around in the shed for a while this week and made these fun guy's out of some Silver Birch.
And I started a little fancy heirloom or jewellery box using some Spalted Beech , this timber always has something to show off. With its amazing grain pattern . Here's where I got too !!! ;)

One Little Apple Seed
Well all this and more came from one little apple seed that grew into a tree then died. So working between the cracks I tried to salvage as much as I could from my chunk, that a neighbour handed in. From the widest piece I managed a chopping board then a couple of nice little cups from a cup sized chunk and another scrap told me it should be a spoon. I had a couple of enjoyable afternoons hanging in the shed scooping out these little cups and whittling scrap into a spoon . And there's still a little left! What do you think ;)

Maple Horses
I took last weekend off from blogging , as it was (:(: !!!! Matthew's 13th birthday !!!! :) :)
This morning it started out frosty ,then after the frost lifted a nice cold heavy rain took its place . I braved the rain and toddled down to the shed to start some hobby horses as Christmas is just around the corner . This time I'm using field maple , here they are so far :)
