Quiet Time

Another birch kuksa cup folks, well I told you I was hooked!!!
A couple of hours quiet time in the shed, roughed out this kuksa.
 Using the pictured tools, and my axe ...;)

This And That

 A bit of this and that, this week... A nice little cycle the other evening..

And the chair was glued up, it needs a final sanding and a good wax... But that will come in the next week or so...

Oh aye, I started messing around with this chunk of oak, and a few sticks that were saved when I cut out a few shrubs a couple of years back.. This also needs a little sanding and wax but you get the  idea...;)

Three Kuksa

Over the past few weeks I've been working on these now and then, as some of you will know!...
Well I got them finished off today so here they are...

Close up of all three, I burnished these with a handful of shavings.
 I'm pretty happy with how these turned out , what do you folks think?....;)

Notion For Kuksa

So I've had a bit of a notion for carving these kuksa cups lately birch is working well for me, and so is damson. Here's some of what I've been doing along the way...
